Hi. I'm Karl Nelson.

I'm on all the usual social networks: Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

I have a blog, but something got really screwed up with it and I haven't had time to fix it. (I've been more active on Twitter lately.)

I work for Washington's education department, OSPI, in the Digital Learning Department. Before that, I worked for the Digital Learning Commons.

I have two history degrees, one from Western Washington and another from Iowa, and a degree in information management from the UW's iSchool.

I'm pretty good at the following: leadership and supervision, information management, strategic thinking, evaluation and analysis, technical design and architecture, organizational growth and development, budgeting and contract management, communications, and marketing. And I'm a decent programmer, too.
